rear main seal

Post by RHarris »

Can anyone tell me if you are supposed to cut the two round rods of the rear seal kit, flush or just let the oil pan push them down on the Fhead engine ? RH

Don't cut - They are supposed to project from the block and be compressed by the oil pan - they will then expand in their holes and secure the seal.
