Amp rating
Does anyone know the rating of the light and ignition switch's contacts?

TM 9-1825E makes no mention of the switch's contact ratings. You can only assume they are at least adequate for the 24 volt amperage for each circuit they control. Factor in a probable 20% or so of military spec'd overbuild and they will probably hold up just fine at 12 volt's higher amperages.
