So, my shiny new NOS engine lifting bracket arrived today. In trial fitting it looks great, except that my crossover tube doesn't fit anymore.
Here's the pictures (try not to ridicule my choice of engine color too much.):
I think the crossover tube mounting bracket is out of alignment (you don't say?). It looks like it needs to move forward, but also needs to angle upward too (so the fording valve lines up with the oil filler tube port). Can anyone provide a photo of the angle of their crossover tube bracket that I can compare with this shot:

I got this from Tomm, so I'm assuming it's correct! I agree with Oilleaker1, some bending is necessary. Yours seems pretty close to correct.

Well spotted! In fact, all three studs are short.
At some point in the life of this engine, the long studs were moved to the front of the block, where the oil filter bracket sits. I just haven't got round to swapping them back yet.
Another item on my seemingly never ending to-do list.
