How is this for a patch panel!!

Post by Ryan »

LOL
I think I have found a most unique source for some of my small patch panels. I work at a John Deere dealership and the other day I had a new square baler come in from the factory and the top hood was dammaged in shipping. The freight company paid for a new one so we get to do whatever we want with the old one. Wouldnt you know that it happened to be 18 guage!!!!! This piece is huge!!

Needless to say it went into the back of my pickup truck

I bet I am the only one out there that will have John Deere patch panels on their jeep!

Way to screw up the future!!!

100 years from now when some one sands your jeep down during a restoration and finds that panel, this site and the G503 forum will erupt with "experts" swearing that jeeps left the factory in John Deere green.

PS Great score

That's pretty cool.

Especially at the prices of sheet metal these days.

I bet you can get a lot of good workable metal out of it.
