Steering assembly, better diagram

Post by capescw »

SNL G-740, page 259, has a picture I need of the steering assembly (entire assembly with box and column). Unfortunately, every PDF I have of that document has a lousy picture. Anybody have a better copy (just that page).

AND, does anybody offer a complete rebuild kit?

OR - does anybody near Connecticut have a spare?

Thanks in advance!

There is one that is a bit better at Surplus City Jeep Parts' site: http://www.surplusjeep.com/M38/M38_%20Lead_%20Page.htm Click on Group 14 Controls.

I haven't come across a complete rebuild kit. The M38 assembly is a bit of a rare bird, so probably not much market for one compared to one for a CJ. Most of the individual parts seem to be available except for the steering shaft with cam (different length than CJ, different ratio than M38A1).
