Tire carrier studs

Post by Bretto »

Does anyone know of the studs in the tire carrier are available to buy? Or another question, when the spare is on, does the rim come in contact with the carrier itself or does it standoff on the studs? If it comes in contact, I can just go and get normal studs. The studs I have on mine have a 1/4" shoulder that sticks out before the threads actually start.

You should be able to find the correct studs.

Thanks Wes.

I took a closer look at how the rim lands on the carrier. A regular stud will work just fine that I can pick up local. I'll just tack them in from behind.
I dont know the rough life this carrier has had but it was all I could do to not just throw it away. Cracks, bends, welds, dings, studs rewelded. It is a mess. But I'll have an original sort of :)
