Speedo cable lube.

Post by RICKG »

I'll be installing a new speedo cable core soon. What do you guys
recommend for lube?? The old cable broke right at the fitting where
exits the trans, there's a pretty sharp bend in the cable there where
it meets the frame-any suggestions??

The graphite based speedo lubes are correct and the best choice. Not as sensitive to cold weather temps. Slippery, greasy, oily lubes result in the thin oil residue wicking its way up into the speedo.
