M-38 Transfer Case Rebuild

I'm planning on replacing the shaft, bearings, and potentially the intermediate gear on my M-38 transfer case. Has anyone used the Advance Adapter kit that replaces the needle bearings with tapered roller bearings? If so, were you happy with the results?

Before you start, talk to hermtheoverdriveguy. He is a wealth of info. and can sell you a quality rebuild kit for less money.
