The jeep looks great.

Why did you elect to place the USA at the front of the left number?

The TB for markings stated USA on top and the whole group is to be centered in the available visible space. This is why the M38's had the right set centred between the snorkle cutout and the front of the hood and the left set were centered between the rear of the BO driving lamp and the rear edge of the hood.

Getting away from your hood numbers, Your vehicle looks great, however, I noticed your front lifting shackles are mounted different from others.
I wished I had a radio like yours though.

Sorry but also regarding the front lifting shackles, I may be wrong but the pic Wes put up of the 236XXX's, their shackles look to be set back also. Or am I seeing things?

The M38 looks great!!!

Very early M38's used 4 EA of the rear shackles. These rear shackles bolted only to the top of the frame on the front thus they lay a bit awkward on top of the bumper.
