I use the Guest 10 Amp Dual Battery ChargePro Charger
http://www.marinco.com/product/10-amp-d ... -charger-0
I use an alternator, so I mounted the charger/maintainer to the voltage regulator plate. I have a battery disconnect switch, and the maintainer is ignition protected and has indiviual fuses on both positive leads.

I have used several and for the dual battery 24 volt systems I use a single 24 volt maintainer.

My truck has the 24V-25 amp genny and stock breadbox reg. I've got a disconnect at the under hood batt ground. I'm thinking that with the
batts connected i could use the 24V fender mt receptical to plug in the
tender (after fabing up a plug w/leads of the right size)
The initial question was whether or not anyone had experience with
either of the 2 models offered by Northern Tool..

I have found the units advertised and sold by aviation supply vendors are the best quality.

24V PIGTAIL ADAPTER
The unit i purchased came with 2 pigtail adapters, the 1 on left with
aligator clamps, the 1 on rt was supplied with ring terminals. I had
no use for the ring terminals so i modified it as shown..

I cut off the rings and cut 2pc of copper tube 5/16 oa dia. Ran the wires thru, folded over and soldered. Used appropriate shrink tubing to ID
POS-NEG.

Plugs in nice and snug to the 24V receptical..
