? 24V heating pot/container ?

Post by ECVJeeps »

Has anyone ever come across a heating container that connects to the slave receptacle on an M-series vehicle.
I was just informed that a friend found one that connects to the slave with about an 8' cable.
Does anyone have a picture of this beast?

The only attachments I have seen for heating related to the M38 are the two personnel heater kits (gas and Hot water), the power plant heater kit (for the eng coolant and the batteries) and the remote starting unit that plugs into the slave receptacle.

Just exactly what does this heating container look like and what is it's purpose or what is it designed to heat?

I bet it makes a heck of a pot of soup or chili.

I have something that may be what he's refering to. This is an MRE heater that has a plug for a lamp-type socket. It's a nylon bag with silicon rubber encasing heating elements. It works great, but it's definitely modern construction

Very interesting cook-pot. Is that a stamped date of 4/72
on the lid?

Looks like a modern aid for a 'brew up'.

I think it is a date, looks like one to me, 4/72. Most likely not for the M38 but
it is for a M-series vehicle so it will go with my wife's M38CDN.
