Hey: Today was the end (truce) of the Korean War July 27. 1953. 52 Years ago. One day I'll never forget.

just a short note of what happened the last day before the truce signing.
All along the front line the North Koreans fired everything they could on us. Then that night around 10 p.m. we returned the firing with everything we had from artillery in support of the frontline infantry to all artillery way back to Division. Literately lighting up the sky as it went over the frontline.

You probably took part in a UN action at its finest given the outcome all these years later when comparing North K and South K. We are all proud of your work and that of all the other UN nationals involved.
Sadly the UN seems to have gone downhill ever since when viewed in the current time frame but it will be interesting to see what good things might come from other UN actions today when people look back in fifty years time..
