m38a1 fuel gauge

Post by tob »

Has anyone change the fuel gauge in a m38a1 from 24 volt to 12 volt successfuly?? if you have do you have a source for the sender and the gauge? part numbers would be great. I built a street rod gas tank a number of years ago and used a universal adjustable sender but don't remember where I got it. it used a stewart warner gauge. I bought a gauge and sender from kaiser willys inc(should have know better) and its not even close, would show empty at more than half a tank, thank you. mike

Exactly which part number gauge and sender you choose is up to you and you must decide based on your desires and needs. IE Gauge dial layout, color, lighting and etc.
