Battery wire question

Post by Bretto »

Is the wire for the battery cables 2/0 or 2 AWG? And is 2 AWG called #2 wire or is that for the 2/0?

Thanks

M38 battery cables are 2 gauge.

0 is called Ought and is larger than both 2 and 1 gauge.

2/0 is called double ought and is larger than ought.
