M170 top side rods

I need the rods that go from the windshield to the front bow. I believe the original part numbers are WO-685453 and WO-682884. In addition to the top rods I need the rods that go from these rods to the hole/socket in the sides just behind the seats.

If there is a better term for these parts I would love to learn what they re called. If I can't make them I'm sure it will take time to find them.

The M170 may be a different measurement, but this might give you some ideas.

I've already spoke to him. He doesn't have the information but did tell me the measurements of the rear top to get me close.

If you are on a Apple based OS their site works fine, at least it does on my Ipad.

These photos have been a great help. I think I will be able to build them or a close facsimile of them. Does any one know the diameter of the rod material?
And what does the right end of the rod in the diagram look like? It doesn't look like a "hook" like the left end

Did you look at all of his photos?

Rod diameter is the closest undersize of the opening in the small bracket at the top of the windshield.

Not sure if the M170 used the same diameter material as the other jeeps, but the rails on my M38 are 3/8" diameter.

Thanks Wes When I looked at this picture it looked like some sort of ball but now I see it's a 45 degree bend pointed straight at the camera.

Thanks evanso1975. I think I am going to be able to build the rods. You guys have been a great help. Now I think I only have one more question and I think I know the answer. About half way along the rod there is a rod that goes from the rod to the body. Is this just a plain piece of 3/8 inch rod stock or is there some bend or crook in the rod?

Can't speak for the M170, but on the my M38 this is just a straight piece; no bend.

Here is our first fabrication. When I bought the truck it was missing the litter rest on the tailgate. Because the other rest is just about the same we were able to easily make the second rest. New rubber is on the way.
