I began experiencing higher than normal temps and coolant blow-by.
Pan tested the t-stat and it's spot on 160 deg.
Pressure tested the rad cap and its blowing off @ 2-3 lbs.
Measured it up, hit the parts books and found STANT 10281
fit the bill. 6 bucks out the door no shipping. Installed new
cap and happy jeep again.
Just throwing this out there for those who may need a cap,
not necessarily correct but functional, and need it now..

radiator cap
Thanks Rick for the info. I'm going to get my radiator checked out by a radiator shop and i'm going to need a new cap. Some of the sites call for a 4# some call for a 7#.

PAR 120 PG 140 specs 4-1/2 lbs for the L134 in M38. I don't have specs
handy for the F-134 in the A-1.

Radiator cap
Rick - It is a M-38. I'm using a l-134 that I believe is a approx. 1951 engine. It came out of a hobart welder. The radiator is [I'm pretty sure] a m-38 radiator. It has the brackets for the support rods and is a bottom mount. I read in a cross reference book that only the m-38 used that radiator. I may be wrong. Anyone can feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

Rick - Where did you find your cap. I hate to order one and have to pay the high shipping cost.
