wanted radio antenna parts

I just bought a prc 10 with am598 for my m38. I need an antenna for it, anybody got one? I will need everything to hook the antenna to the jeep such as the mp 50 and the corner bracket.

Most any of the vendors will sell you the MP50.



They may or may not include the Willys Jeep adapter bracket.









When the jeep has no top the use of the vehicle mounted antenna is not necessary. If you choose to use a vehicle mount antenna in addition to the MP50 you'll need:

It goes under the sheet metal to add strength for the bracket. sort of a spacer/reinforcement for the "L" shaped part...

These drawings are the best I can come up with.
The first is the GRC-9 or SCR-694 systems in combination with PCR 8, 9 or 10. The drawing shows where the PRC units would go.



The second shows where to drill the mount holes for your amplifier.

Here is a reproduction of it... I just reproduced the view on the drawing...



I have an original set of drawings, but they are hard to read as they are the ones that come with the hardware...

To install the radio antenna mount, you will need the Mount (MP-50), the "L" shaped bracket and the block with 4 holes in it as shown in the photos in previous posts...

Drill the 6 holes, and the one for the grommet/cable is optonal; unless you plan on mounting the radio gear... Then mount the "L" shaped bracket with the 4 hole spacer/reinforcing bar on the inside of the side panel... Then mount the MP-50 on the "L" shaped bracket. Note: there is a notch in the L shaped bracket for the upper bolt for the trailer guard panel under the rear fender...

Take your time and measure correctly and it should bolt in pretty easily... If you do not have the antenna itself they are available from several different vendors...

How about how the prc and am598 are mounted to the jeep. They are to big to fit on the wheel well with the controls facing inside but if I turn it sidways everything fits fine, with the face facing the rear of the jeep.
