rear left axle oil leak

rear left axle oil leak

please i have a problem with rear axle. while i was inspecting my rear brake drums and brake shoes i saw oil (fortunately not on the brake shoes) from where is that oil leak how can i fix it? i think maybe a axle flange????

Could be brake fluid also.

no there is no brake fluid i have check it!!!

Axle oil seal - some differential oil may be leaking from the axle tube. Or rear axle bearing grease may be extruding a little oil. If there isn't much coming out, there is no cause for alarm unless the rear brake shoes are getting greasy.

Since your grease fitting port is plugged here I doubt plain bearing grease is your issue.

Item 8 retains the handpacked grease in the wheel bearing. Item 33 retains the oil in the axle.

When 33 fails hot axle oil will push through 33, the wheel bearing and 8.
