What is the "18574" on the title serial for?

Post WWII jeeps do not have toe board numbers. It may help the sale of that title if you do some research and find out where the extra five serial digits came from. As written right now you would have to have all 10 digits on both your dash plate and patent plate to avoid a hassle with law enforcement.

That would be my guess as well. It would be better to ascertain that from the NC DMV so it can be explained to whomever tries to transfer that title elsewhere. A 10 digit dash serial plate would look quite odd.

title
I have a title, dash data plates and the wheel well tag. It is for a 1952 m38a1. Do you know someone that has a 1953 title, data plates and wheel well tag that they want to trade even up for. I have a 1952 everything but the body and I am putting a 1953 or newer body on it.
