Dimensions of bumperettes - M38CDN

Post by L84dinner »

I would like to reshape the bumperetes on my 1952 M38CDN to the original dimensions. Is there a reference for the correct dimensions? What is the correct radius for the curves?

Thanks,

John

Hi. John. The bumpers are made of spring steel. There is a parts guy near you that may have a set of used ones. He is Brian in Acton 519-853-1738.

Hey John,

If they aren't too out of shape fix them like the army did - bolt them back on to the frame, attach a rope to something solid and pull them out until they are parallel with the crossmber or until you are satisfied.

all good suggestions.
Brian is a great guy to deal with, always helpful.

I would also give hawkshadows suggestion a try, I have some stainless bumperettes and one of them is out of wack and I will be doing it this way also.

nice to see more locals!
