Well, I got a good one now. I am trying to find out where I can purchase a front license plate mount for my M38A1. Like the one Patton had placed on his jeep. It should mount to the top left of the front bumper. I know I can make one, but I am just being lazy. Any ideas, comments or suggestions?
Thanks,
Darrell

Most of those plates were locally manufactured in the military. They were quite simple with a flat sheet of steel, a 90 deg. bend at the bottom and two bolt holes.

:Later version of his 3 star jeep.

Earlier version.
There is also a photo somewhere of his earlier 2 star jeep which didn't didn't have the front mud guards.

My Dad's M38A1 I'll be re-creating had the license plate on the front.
Doesn't look hard to fabricate.

When your front tires sling mud it travels upwards in front of the jeep at a forward angle and the wind then throws the mud at you. Patton was ahead of his time with the CJ5/M38A1 rounded front fenders.
