Artwork?

Post by timjuhl »

Has anyone ever seen any period photos showing artwork applied to a M38A1 like we often see on WWII Jeeps? I've looked with no success.

Hi Tim,
There's something on the lower cowl on this
C model but can't make it out:

Lots more A1 photos on that site.

Take care,

Artwork on the M38 & M38A1 is hard to find. They were on duty during the stricter years of our post WWII armed forces. By strict I mean heavy duty chicken Brown material controls. It wasn't until Vietnam that field commanders lightened up to a bit of unit individual art work. That's why you often see nice examples of artwork on the 59 to 71 M151's!
