Not only jeep engines
How did the military protect(preserve) the fuel system components on gas engines while in storage?Really talking more about the gas engines used on the various type generators,compressors etc .I know this may not be the correct place to post this question.But it would apply to the jeep engine also. There are many military manuals out there that carry a ton of detail on the preservation & long term storage of engines and vehicles. Here's a few links:
