Particles fallen into the m38 engine

In the hole from the oil dipstick is a 1.5 cm metal clamp fallen. I would therefore not so gladly unscrew the oil pan and hope it flows out at the next oil change. The question is whether something can happen when it stays in the oil pan.The oil still flows through a filter before it through the
Pump flows. Is this correct or have I forgotten something?

Is the clamp aluminum or stainless?

Maybe you can put a small mechanics magnet on an expandable
shaft into the dipstick hole and fish it out. Is the dipstick tube out?

Brian,it is made of iron. I have already tried to go with a dyn magnet along the ground but without success

It should be sitting at the bottom of the oil pan if it fell into dipstick hole.
If it is heavy enough, it should just sit on the bottom of the pan but I wouldnt take that chance. I think pan removal is necessary.
Another thought.... Take a magnet to the underside of oil pan until you can drag the clamp closer to the dipstick hole, then use a magnet to pull it out. I would remove the dipstick tube for easier access

I would open the drain plug and attempt to fish it out from there with the magnet if the dipstick route isn't working. Floating bits in an engine tend to be a severe compromiser of performance...

I would try the above suggestion first:

If no luck then drain the oil cold, will take longer but thick cold oil will drag loose items to the drain hole better than hot warm oil. If it doesn't fall out then use a strong magnet on the lower surface of the pan with strokes running to the drain.

It has again tried with the big dyn magnet and it has worked. The part is out there.
With such a strong magnet under the oil pan has it worked. I had pushed it first against the oil filter, so it had not worked yesterday.
