Willys logos

Post by 4x4M38 »

So the Willys Overland logo is a W and and O,
laid over one another, correct?

My not original M38 windshield has stamped on it
W and M laid over one another.

Is that Kaiser's 1953 Willys Motors logo?

I guess they made spare M38 windshields or
modified current CJ3A windshields 1953 and later?[/quote]

W M would be Willys Motors.

Just read the Willys Overland History to bring your self up to date on who, logos and when each thing happened. I believe that Kaiser didn't play until 1957 and waited til the 60's to add Kaiser to the patent plates.

Thanks Wes.
So it looks like Willys Motors was supplying M38 window frames to the Army
after M38 production stopped and after they bought out W-O.

And yes, I was reading a timeline regarding Willys Overland and subsequent
owners. I thought Kaiser bought them in 1953. Might have the date wrong.
