Keep in mind the Y50R is not an M38/M38A1 winch. It is a M116 Huskie winch. It is narrower then the Ramsey 50 or 50R winch.

Here it is installed on a M116.

Here's what it looks like when it's drum is widened and it is installed in a M38.

I sent the seller a note:

Are you aware that winch is for a M116 Huskie tracked vehicle not the jeeps? It is narrower then the correct 50 or 50R ramsey for the M38 & M38A1 jeeps.
