Willys Jeep Parts Inc.

I noticed an error in their parts list on their web site today. I took about half an hour to round up the correct part numbers and descriptions and sent them an email explaining the error on their web site. https://www.willysjeepparts.com/Radiator_Guard.htm

Here's their one word answer to my efforts:

Hi,

I noticed an error in both the illustration and the listing for the frame side grill hinges on this page: https://www.willysjeepparts.com/Radiator_Guard.htm

8677338 is the left one and 8677339 is the right one and both of these are only used on the M38 and your ORD#'s only call out for the bracket without the pin. The complete lower hinge assembly with bracket & pin is left ORD# 7372887, WO# 673281 and right ORD# 7372888, WO# 673282.

The M38A1 uses Bracket with pin assembly left ORD# 8329977, WO# 681443 or WO# 680395, FSN 5315-316-1031 and right ORD# 8329979, WO# 681444 or WO# 680396, FSN 5315-316-1032.

The pin only for any of the above is ORD# 8393232, WO# 681439

This information is split up between sections 15 (Frame) and 21 (Guards) in both M38/M38A1 ORD 9's + the info found in the M38A1 TM 9-2320-208-20P and -34P

Errors

There are so many errors in this catalog that it makes me very leery of using any of their parts!

Unfortunately this is becoming more common. People just do not care as long as the money keeps coming in. I have done the same for other things pointing out errors and the best answers are like what you got Wes, I have also been called many names and told I do not know what I am talking about despite, like you, citing sources. Thank you for trying and for the warning about these folks. May the rest of your day be better.

I have dealt with these folks before. They sell "will fit" jeep parts. Details doesn't matter. They may have a few spot on parts, but you had best know what you needed before hand. Their prices are top shelf to say the least!

I know it's an old thread, but I appreciate the head's uo.
I have removed them from my Jeep Parts bookmark list.

I have bought a lot of parts for my M38A1, and have used some very good vendors...

My opinion, don't trust them for anything.
