Battery Box Corrosion Article

Post by ChuckW »

As a followup to my battery box corrosion article posted in 2006, after 12 years, I removed the old mats and inspected the battery boxes and found No corrosion on the boxes, trays and hold down hardware. I cleaned everything up, gave it a good coating of undercoating spray and installed two new mats. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it. The lack of corrosion may also be due to the fact that I keep a battery maintainer on each battery whenever the vehicle is not in use.

Thank you for the great update! I read your original article about a year ago and saw how long back you had written it and wondered how it had worked out.
Again, thanks for sharing and updating!
