part question

I think I am missing a part to my throttle linkage. What holds the pedal to the linkage that bolts to the engine block? My temp fix is no longer working

at the end of the pedal rod is a ball. That ball fits into a rubber socket attached to a round metal base with a stud underneath that attaches to the bracket on the motor.
