M100 find

Post by coopman »

Finally found a pretty good condition M100. Will need lights, harness and the ball hitch removed. Best part of this trailer is no rust through! Just surface rust.

Can you post a photo that includes the front end of the hitch?

Looks like you have a good chance with some welding and grinding skills to be able to return the pintle/landing leg to it's stock configuration. I have not had any serious problems over the past 20 years finding the stock pintle and landing legs. She'll make for a very nice M100 resto when you are done.

Lucky devil.
That trailer is in great shape, compared to some of the trailers I've seen for sale.
Good luck on the restoration.

Used my day off to get the hitch removed and clean up the front end. I used a lunette ring off of a junk M416. Waiting on some hardware and chains.

While looking underneath I noticed this was definitely an Air Force trailer originally…looks like brand new paint under this undercoating.
