I didn't ask for photos but the photos I received are the same photos of somebody trying to sell this winch over on the G503 forum for the last 2 years using different names.

I'm in contact with him, and he emailed several photos (same photos that appear on the G503 forum)
He's been trying to sell it off and on for at least 2 years in the G503 forum.

Discussion is in progress via email.

No crate. Says he cleaned cosmoline off it. It does look "new" (not used).
The data plate is damaged but mostly readable and looks legitimate.

We have some language barrier. He's somewhat vague on how long he's owned it and how he came to own it.

He's in India, but the winch is in Virginia with a friend.

Did you look at the G503 photos?

You were ejected from the G503 forum a couple of times trying to sell this winch using different names and locations.

I'll send anybody who wants to see them copies of our emails.
I think you have difficulty communicating clearly using the English language.
I'm not going to air the emails here, except to say they don't give me confidence.

I'm disappointed we couldn't make a deal.

Mr. Agha sent me a message, saying the winch is in Virginia and that a person could check it out prior to purchase. Mr. Agha said he lives in India and that the winch is with his friend.

To be fair to everyone, I would say if a person was interested in purchasing the winch that it would be good to go look at it - and I would say that no matter who is selling something like a winch, engine, etc as there are many potential issues with these types of used equipment.
