Website update
OK we went down for a couple days but we got it back up. We are running out of website storage space due to all the data usage from the photo albums.
The cost is not worth the extra storage space so I turned off the photo albums for now.
We are coming up with a plan and will get back to you.
Thanks!

Hi Ryan,
Is there any way to give us access to see and use our albums while at the same time disabling or preventing the upload of any more photos to them?
Please keep us posted if there's anything we can do to help, like cleaning-up our albums to purge bad or unneeded photos that must take a lot of space.
And just a thought, but there are ancient and unused albums going back decades from members who no longer participate in the forum and perhaps no longer even own a jeep. That must consume a lot of space as well?
And lastly, I've said this before, that I'm willing to contribute a reasonable amount of $ (no questions asked) to keeping this great resource alive.
It always seems to fall on deaf ears for some reason. Please keep it in mind.
Thanks for the forum!

Hey,
Thanks for the offers and suggestions. I can give access on a person by person basis I think.
On offers, what I really need is someone well versed in PHP Nuke - Jake Walsh a member here has made some progress but his knowledge is limited on this too. We do greatly appreciate all his efforts.
Eventually we need to go to a website similar to the CJ3B.info and try to team up or refer people to another forum like the CJ3A forum that the CJ3B site refers to.
Facebook groups and redit have taken over a lot of the old style forum traffic. Those are inferior in that you cannot look up old posts by subject. However it would seem most people now days just want to post a question and get an answer.
I do want to keep the forums archived. When you do just about any google search on M38 jeeps, posts from our forums are at the top and I think that helps people- which is our main goal.
For now I am going to work on getting our website creator - my brother in law to help us transition if it isn't too big of a job and when he gets some time as this part of the year is very work heavy for him.

I am more than happy to thin my album, probably at least 50% or more. So much that is in there are pics of parts, multiples that were taken to illustrate an answer to a question someone on the forum posted. Really of no value now that the question was answered and the poster moved on. I dont spend as much time here as i used to but still recognize the value of this forum.

Thanks for the update.
If it's no trouble, could I have access to my album please?
But let me ask --- if I use a photo already in my album to respond to another members' post, does that aggravate the storage problem?
In other words, do photos that are already loaded to an album take more space when they're used in different posts?
I don't want to make the problem worse until y'all get a handle on it.
And like Rick said above, I can thin out my album while I'm at it!

Thank you!
I just made a fast pass through my album and deleted 74 of 564 photos (13%).
Not much, but it's a start.
New total is 490 and I'll take another pass at it shortly.
