In the spring of 1952 Willys was busy dropping the circuit breakers on the battery box and the instrument cluster panel from production jeeps. It was determined they were not needed. MC65927 was the last M38 with the 3 circuit breakers on the side of the battery box.
The panel you are thinking about is a definite improvement over the one you have. Its too bad about the extra holes in your original panel, but what ever. Buy the one you are thinking about, replace the voltmeter with the correct ammeter (if you still have a regular regulator, not electronic). Actually it can all be overcome depending on what you want. My M38 has a one wire 12V alternator, but I wired it so it still uses the original ammeter.
In your panel, be careful with the temp gauge, it looks like it might possibly be a WW2 Dodge or Jeep and might be worth something.
My monthly income is $ 450 disability pension.
Parts for the M38 are hard to come here, so it's a good price.
But for the money I save, I have to buy it.
