You could also fix it like a gas tank, blast the rust gone, get out your soldering bronze iron, apply tinning fluid, and solder the area. Sand it smooth when done. Now if your T-Stat gets the engine too hot, and your solder melts, you're on fire anyway , finding a good pan should not be too hard. Get rid of that crappy fuel tank while your at it. John
