M38a1 is over charging its batteries

Before you re-open Pandora's box on this regulator why not transplant the Dodge's generator to the jeep? If the two perform well together again then you know your generator must have some issues. If they do no better than the jeeps original generator then you know you need to look at the electrical system in greater depth to pinpoint issues.
