lamp bracket

Post by 4x4M38 »

I think I have a takeoff light bracket from a trailer that I am sure I will never use.

Can you use it? I'll take a pic if so.

Take care,
Brian

I think mine are good - just need to be bent back a little (easier said than done I know - it's 3/16" and small). I appreciate the offer - let me see if I can bend them before you get rid of yours. I don't remember for sure, but I MIGHT need another left side stop light for the right side - you don't happen to have one of those laying around to sell do you? I'll check this morning to make sure.

I have two left light assemblies. Actually bought a right and a left, and Bretto kindly provided me with the gust for another left, so I'm set for signals!

But no spare.

Take care,
Brian

I checked a little while ago. I DO have 2 left lights and 2 BO lights. I am going to have to rewire one of them though and restore both. One of the brackets is bent, but I have a 20T press to straighten it. Thanks for the offer - I appreciate it greatly.

In case anyone was following this thread and wondered what happened next, here's the story.

I ran out of time working on this trailer - had to get the jeep ready for a rally. Then the next year I bought an MD Juan replacement tub for my early (5/51) chassis. I got on it hot and heavy, then ran out of time (or interest - whichever) before the rally again last year. Here is the thread on that project: http://willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php? ... highlight= . Anyhow, I am almost finished with the '51 trailer, just in time for the Denton rally at the end of this month.

I am considering putting a For Sale sign on the '51 MD Juan trailer at the show to feel out the market. I should be getting back to this original trailer this summer.
