I have 2 used steering jackets from either M38 or M38A1. One is 34.5" long and the other is 35" long. Can anybody tell me which of the 3 steering gears they fit: 1. Early M38 2. Late M38/Early M38A1 or 3. Late M38A1. Can the longer one be used in place of the shorter one ?
My gut feeling is that the 34.5" one is Late M38/Early M38A1 and the longer 35" one is Late M38A1.
