Mystery hole in windshield

Post by Mike_B »

The top center of my A1 windshield frame has a reinforcement plate spot welded in place. The plate supports/anchors the hood catch lock via two 1/4-20 bolts. At the very top of that plate there is a 1/8" hole that goes through the plate and the sheet metal...is that a factory hole or Bubba?

Happy New Year!

Mike B :)

if it is in the middle it could have been for a mirror. I think this was talked about before.

I don't think it's for a mirror, it's up high and only big enough for a #6 screw to fit in it.

I'm thinking Buba because it goes through the front face sheet metal and 10 guys haven't jumped in to all say it's for X...
