Now, all of you take this with a grain of salt. I realize that working on your jeep or other vehicles gives great satisfaction. We all take pride in saying we did it ourselves. However, when you look at the time, effort, and lack of good patterns to make the panels accurately, and put all the correct hardware back on them, why; wouldn't you purchase a panel that has all this done already and all you have to do is weld it in? I don't mean to sound trite or take anything away from you guys, it just doesn't make sense to me. For all the ass ache that I see in another post with just flat panels, no holes, no hardware. I realize that $ is always an issue, but for $250 you could have had them done accurately and ready to weld in.
I am not bitching, just trying to understand. Please don't flame me, just offer explanations.

John

John: You are absolutely right! Why make more work for yourself. Sometimes it doesn't pay to do/make it yourself. A restoration is suppose to be fun and enjoyable! Enjoy yourself, life is too short!!! Regards, Dennis

John,
I am the member needing the hole location. These pans were put in about 3 years ago and that was before I knew about your panels. Had I known that there was a panel out there like you have I would have surley used them as the flat panels were a pain!

I understand where you are coming from and believe me if I had known about your panels when I purchased the panels back then I would have used yours. But since I have already welded these in im just trying to do the best with what I have.

Ryan,
Since this computer is at home and not at the shop where the parts are, call me Monday and I will give you the dimensions you need.

john
