M38A1 For Sale

Post by Madriver1968 »

Howdy all! I think the time has come for me to part ways with my M38A1. I'm part way through a frame-on refresh/restoration, but set it aside for other projects about two years ago (we have several other vintage vehicles that had more pressing issues). :(

Solid tub, new fenders and hood, new 24v wiring harness from Pete Dabella installed, turn signal kit installed, all-new lighting, NOS fuel tank, rebuild brake system, new steering wheel, circuit breakers fitted, four relatively new NDS tires, and lots and lots of spares (spare YS carb, spare fuel/vacuum pump, spare distributor, spare set of shielded spark plug wires, spare NOS spark plugs, a NOS heater kit, two Mars 24-v sirens, etc. etc.). I even installed a wireless bluetooth audio system from Out of Sight Audio (which is awesome, by the way).

I drove her regularly for a couple of years before parking her for the restoration, and she ran great. Shifted nicely, transfer case worked well, etc.

I'm sad to part ways with her, but just don't have the time. I'm in southwestern Rhode Island near the Connecticut line. I can post some photos and/or send them to anyone interested.

Thanks!
Bill S.

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay in posting pictures. One of our dogs passed away last week.

I've uploaded photographs and a list of what's been done and the list of spares to my Dropbox account - hopefully that's the best way to let folks see everything without having to post a million photos here.

Price is $8k OBO. As mentioned above, the Jeep is in western Rhode Island.

FYI - I don't plan on selling individual parts. Thanks!
