Mission Ready

Post by lucky »

I just want to inform you that another M38 is still on the road again. I’ve taking the unit markings and the special licence plates from the USMLM on her.
USMLM stays for: United States Military Liaison Mission to the Commander-in-Chief, Group of Soviet Forces, Germany (USMLM to CinC, GSFG), later changed to Western Group of Forces (WGF). USMLM representational headquarters was located in Potsdam, East Germany (DDR), with Operational & Administrative Headquarters in West Berlin, Germany. US Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps personnel served proudly in the USMLM
For more information’s about this unit look at: http://www.usmlm.org/

- The paint is Gillespie's Late WWII semi-gloss 23076
- Seat cushions and canvas comes from Beachwood
- For the markings I had use the stencils from Rick Larsen

Greetings from Germany

Holger

And from now on she is ready for any weather...
Beachwood Canvas did a real good job! It has taken only a short time for to install the winter enclosure.
Everything fits quiet well

Hello Holger,
Very nice work. Very interesting museum as well. I find your method of quieting the front lifting shackles very ingenious.

Can you post the full size photo of the top installed or email a full size copy?
