So what is the difference between exhaust and intake valves? When I pulled my engine apart I noticed a distinct difference in the two types of valves. I have a box of NOS valves in my garage that look like the used intake valves from my engine. But the valves in the attached link also look just like my intake valves and are listed as exhaust valves. Also, the parts TM has different part numbers for exhaust and intake valves.

Valves
Wes,
I measured my valves. I have 4 that are exhaust (l=5 13/16" d=1 15/32") but I also have one intake that appears to be the same length as the exhaust with the larger head diam. The intake valve is l=5 13/16" and d=1 17/32. I doubt that this extra 1/16" is measurement error as I checked it a couple of times. Could this longer intake valve be for a different vehicle?

Could be. Or it may just be a quality control issue.
