Does the willys industrial motor use a different head gasket? The head gasket covers 2 water ports in the head and the block?

You probably have the early WWII head gasket for the 638632 casting block.

The head and block have coolant ports on both sides. The head gasket has openings on one side, the spark plug side. The others were and will be covered bt the head gasket.

Is that right?

As we have mentioned elsewhere the 908756 casting is the late 50's casting used by Willys for 50's and 60's industrial, DJ3A and replacement applications. The correct gasket listed in the industrial engine manual and the DJ3A manual is 638540.

As you can see the gasket above matches this photo of your head.

Any parts store that handles Felpro gaskets.

The Napa site when told to find parts for a 1960 Willys DJ3A with 2.2 L134 engine gave up this list:
