I am in the later stages of the engine overhaul. All bolted together and I dissassembled the oil pump (partially) to check the clearances before installing. It has two star rotors in it versus the expected male and female rotor as shown in the parts manual. I looked at the M38 oil pump and it appears to be the male/female version also.
the pump internals show no sign of wear at all so I was thinking I would reuse this but I would like to re-gasket with the ready made gaskets. The gaskets that came with the overhaul kit match the mounting surface but the other gasket does not match. I also would like to measure clearances with some kind of instructions.
Has anyone ever seen this two star version? There was an aluminum tag that said 52 on it. Engine serial # is MD-33289 and had the old style exhaust valves with the rotator cap.
What I am looking for is parts and instruction with clearances. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Melling
I found the pump. It is a Melling aftermarket pump # 53. They have yet to reply to an email sent in regards to gasket thickness or internal clearances. Looks like I'll just measure the old gasket thickness and go on faith (and prelube) to during initial startup.
