Body panel repair on M38

Post by rgmutchler »

I have a 1950 M38 body that needs the right front floor and both lower cowels with steps. Has any one had experience in replacing these parts and what source for body panels would you or did you use. I consistently am told that the MDJUAN replacement panel stuff for the M38 is junk but I haven't found anyone who has used it, Midwest Militarys stuff or the Classic Enterprises stuff.

I think that Midwest repo parts are better than some of the NOS sheetmetal repair panels I have seen.

Bullrunner,
Thanks, I have heard that Midwest military's stuff is good but they are only doing floor sections and hat channels to my knowledge. What have you heard, if any thing, about the body panels like Classic and MD Juan make.

Panels

We make the steps for the body sides. Better than anything else on the market. Also make side repair panels, but only on the rear 1/2. From the body seam back to the wheel opening.
