M38 floor panel

On both sides of the floor panel over the transmission are small bullet shaped indents, anybody know what they were used for????

Drainage, on my floor they are like little vents going down, allowinf water to drain out...

The little indents are a left over from the WWII MB tub floor stamping and were there for the positioning of the exhaust pipe clamp.

Wes,
I think he's talking about the small indentions on either side of the transmission cover part of the floor pan. Not the ones you have pictured. I don't have a picture handy to use to illustrate.
