front bumper and rear bumperette white stenciling

Post by 1948willyman »

Anyone know what these markings stood for I can partially make out some of them on my 1952 M-38. Would like to figure out the original numbers on mine before I sand off and paint.

You'll have to post photos of what you have. Could be Army, Navy, Air Force and from any period from 1950 thru 1970 and active, reserve or guard numbering system.

WHITE STENCLING

Post by 1948willyman »

I will get those pictures done and posted. I can make out US Army along with the hood numbers but the rest of the numbers on the front bumper and rear bumperette are pretty far gone. Would the hood number aling with the serial # of the jeep be of any benefit????
