A1 Remanufactured motor
I started working on the motor of one of my A1s today and found the following sticker on the side of the motor. When I bought the jeep I noticed the serial # was gone so I figured it was decked at one time. After doing some research I found discussion talking about remanufactured motors and how they were painted blue. Looking closer at the motor it does show blue under the PO green paint job. Has anyone seen this type of sticker before. Additionally it has the serial # 109745 on it. I dont see an MD in front of it but am I safe to assume this is the MD #. I looked a serial # database and it does fall into the MD series of #s. I am just looking for a second option and if anyone has ever seen this type of sticker before Thanks

That's a commercial rebuild tag not a military depot rebuild tag. It could be the 6 digit serial minus any number of F134 prefixes. Without the MD prefix being visible on the pad above the water pump there is absolutely no way to ascertain what model chassis or power unit Willys originally installed that engine in.
