Does anyone know where I can buy the type of bolts used on A1s? I'm looking for the type that has a ridge/rim that goes along the top perimeter of the bolt head.
Thanks

I think I answered my own question. Did a little searching and found this bolt type is called "indented hex head." I know my local hardware store does not carry this type of bolt, but found several internet suppliers.

Just google "antique classic automotive fasteners" you'll get quite a few choices. I cruise the doorman drawers at the autoparts stores and the old hardware stores first locally then go to the online stores.

I went to a junk yard that had a bunch of real old cars in there. Asked the guy for some and he must have spent an hour looking for me. He had a bunch of them in coffee cans and jars. I poured them out and got probably 50 of them.

John at Midwest Military sells them. My attempt to find such bolts from various industrial sources only resulted in some that used a smaller head size than the originals. They had indented but smaller heads.
