Will any of the cj2/3a steering boxes fit on the m38 as a straight bolt on ? Is the horn button the issue with the rod length or will it just not work. Thanks john jr.

There were actually three different steering boxes used on the M38 and yes any (excluding column shifters and right hand drive units) of the CJ2/3A boxes can be fitted in with the the needed changes in horn set-ups. That is to say box & mast as an assembly is the way to switch. Steering ratios varied a bit among these boxes as well.
